DOWNSTAIRS CLASSICS

YOU GET A STRIKE!

A 7-STRIKE OPRAH STRIKES PINBALL TOURNAMENT

Saturday, November 7 at 1:00 PM
Pinball In The Mall — The Vista (Music City Mall), Lewisville Texas

You get a strike! You get a strike! Everybody gets a strike... except the winner.

Join NTX Pinball for a 7-Strike Oprah Strikes tournament. Tournament entry is FREE. Players are responsible only for coin drop on the tournament machines.

HOW THE FORMAT WORKS

Each round, players are placed into groups and play one game. Win your game and you avoid a strike. Everyone else in your group gets one.

• 4-player group: 1st gets 0 strikes; 2nd, 3rd & 4th each get 1
• 3-player group: 1st gets 0; 2nd & 3rd each get 1
• 2-player group: Winner gets 0; loser gets 1

After all games in a given round have been completed, players are regrouped for the next round and assigned another game with new opponents. Once you receive your 7th strike, you're eliminated. Play continues until only one player remains. Last player standing wins!

Expected tournament length: approximately 4½–5½ hours if you make it all the way to the final rounds. Players who are eliminated earlier will, of course, finish sooner.

Players are welcome to leave the tournament at any time. If you need to leave early, please let the Tournament Director or a tournament official know so we can remove you from the player pool and avoid assigning you to a group in subsequent rounds.

----- THE IFPA TOURNAMENT:
Qualifying is Max Matchplay format with minimum of either 4 hours or 20 games planned.
This means you'll be playing 20 matches (or 4 hours) of head to head pinball.

Playoffs/Finals will be a 5 strikes, Fair Strikes tournament.
Fair strikes is played in mostly 4 player groups with first place getting ZERO strike and last place getting 2 strikes. Everyone in between gets 1 strike.

Playoffs will be split into two divisions, A & B.

The B Division is restricted as follows:
-- players in the top 1500 in the IFPA rankings are ineligible for B division
-- players who have placed in the TOP 3 in any of the 3 most recent DFW Pinball League events are ineligible for B division

THUS: many of the top players are excluded from the B Division.
So, with A & B Payouts, the kids prizes, and the door prizes, it means that truly, ANYONE CAN WIN!

CASH PAYOUTS IN BOTH DIVISIONS!

Any kids that play WILL be eligible for 'kid exclusive' prizes!
We will also have random door prizes (usually valued between $10 and $40 each) so everyone really does have a chance to win something.
